Our group account with a career of approximately 25 years in the study of metabolism and regulating the expression of genes and proteins associated with the metabolism of amino acids and derivatives in animal models (primarily amino acids cationic, sulfurised and amines). In recent years, we have opted for the incorporation of postgenomic and in silicon technology (molecular modeling and metabolic modeling), situation that is enabling us an approach more holistic and efficient of those pathophysiological processes in which are involved these compounds, such as the neoplastic growth, inflammation, and some rare diseases (mastocytosis, homocisteinuría, etc). These activities have resulted, among other actions, to various partnerships with other groups and national and international networks, and excellence projects financed by public and private agencies.
